Henrietta Back in Action
The Miss Hennrietta finally got out for her first full day of shrimping yesterday. After the whole runaway boat thing, Richie found another minor engine problem and spent Monday fixing it.
They got out yesterday and worked “the line” or an imaginary line across Bull’s Bay that designates how far in shrimp boats can work. Richie’s boat is much shallower draft than most, so he can run closer in than just about anyone. They caught over 600lbs. of nice white shrimp. They were counting 15 with the heads on, which are nice, big shrimp. They were back at it today, and hopefully caught more of the same.
A few other boats, like the SanDia were working a bit farther offshore as they draw more water. They were catching them as well and reported a little bigger size.
