Lowcountry Lobster Boil?

Some friends of ours in Awendaw, Stepanie and Timmy Peninger, have a cabin that they rent out along with a large party island, all on their property.  When they’re not renting it out, they have a few parties a year there where we all come and hang out (Stephanie is Shawn and Stephen’s sister).  Tonight our friend Sean from Gloucester, MA was down with a load of lobsters and jonas crabs. 

Sean lobsters in a 25 foot boat in the Gulf of Maine (brrrrr), and comes down a few times a year, trading Timmy and Stephnie some lobsters for a weeks stay.  Tonight was the all-you-can-eat lobster boil, and it was awesome!  I suppose it’s as normal for Sean as an oyster roast is for us.  Oysters are a treat for him, so we made sure to cook some of Bull’s Bay’s finest as well.

Next time Sean comes into town I will try to coordinate and offer some of his lobsters on the site here.  It will be a one time, one day sort of thing, but a lobster feast in the Lowcountry is a great way to spend an evening.  Big thanks to Timmy, Stephanie, and Sean!
