Huge Weekend for Oyster Deliveries

We had our biggest weekend yet for oyster deliveries.  Jeff and I have sold over 50 bushels all over the Charleston area in the past few days.  We worked yesterday with Stephen and got about 40 bushels to finish our orders up.  It was yet another beautiful day out there, and we worked on the back side of Bull Island.

Friday night I catered an oyster roast for the folks at Carolina One Real Estate at a subdivision in Summerville called The Ponds.  They had a band and a chili cook-off as well, and a good time was had by all.

My sister, Carrie (Jeff’s wife), had her birthday yesterday, and we ate some oysters over at there house last night.  They were as salty as they could be.  You just can’t beat the flavor!  Happy Birthday Carrie!

I’m taking a much needed day off today, although I do have to deliver one bushel to West Ashley.  Jeff is doing a couple of deliveries, one on Sullivan’s Island and one in Mt. Pleasant.  We’re going to be back out on the water tomorrow, so give me a call if you need some oysters for the holidays!
