Sewee Outpost’s Music and Oysters for Wildlife

The Sewee Outpost, Awendaw, SC
The Sewee Outpost in Awendaw, SC is having their annual oyster roast next Saturday, January 17 from 2pm – 6pm (don’t worry, it usually ends much, much later). It benefits the Sewee Association, which is involved heavily in environmental education and rural heritage. Last year was 38 degrees and pouring rain, but there was still 450+ people there having a great time. We are, however, hoping for better weather this year.
The music lineup is phenomenal this year with the Blue Dogs, Cravin’ Melon (with Doug Jones), and Danielle Howle as headliners. There is also going to be a silent auction and a live auction featuring a print from local painter, Mickey Williams. Of course, there is also all the Bull’s Bay Oysters you can eat. Tickets are $30 and available either in person at the Outpost, or online at www.SeweeAssociation.org. It sold out two years ago, so get your tickets now! For directions, click on our Local’s Map page, and the Outpost is the farthest north blue marker.
