Still Watching the Water Temperature
This weekend’s cold snap is over, and round one of watching the water temperature is done as well. The lowest I saw it go was 49 degrees in Charleston Harbor on Sunday morning. It was back up to 51 degrees by this afternoon, but there is another cold front coming through right now. The low temperatures are forecast to be in the mid 20’s for Tuesday and Wednesday nights with NW winds at 20-25 with gusts to 30. There is even a 50% chance of snow tomorrow. In case you don’t live here, we don’t see too much snow around Charleston. At all. We’ll be watching the water temp again for the next few days and hoping it stays above 45 degrees, or next years shrimp catch will suffer.
